Next steps

The home questionnaire must be downloaded, completed and returned to us via email as an attachment as soon as possible – send to property@theopenexperiences.com using your name and first line of address as the subject header.  

The property questionnaire has a text entry box to allow you to provide a detailed description of the property. 

The description should provide as much relevant information as possible, including (but not limited to): 

  • Location, key attractions close by, availability of public facilities
  • Kitchen facilities and features
  • Number, size, and layout of bedrooms
  • Bathroom facilities and condition
  • Living areas and any additional spaces
  • Key amenities and the overall standard of the property

Submitting photos 

To ensure your property is presented at its very best, all photos must be provided by the homeowner and should showcase a clean, welcoming, and uncluttered view of your home. Please remove personal items and avoid including any photographs of people or visible faces. External images should not show cars, number plates, or any identifying details linked to individuals. All images should be taken in landscape orientation (not portrait) and, ideally, submitted at a resolution of 1920 x 1080 pixels to ensure high quality across our website. Photos should clearly display each room, highlighting space, layout, and key features, while presenting your home as it will appear to your licence holders. 

Images should ideally be submitted in JPEG (JPG) format, which is a widely used file type that compresses images to reduce file size while maintaining good quality—making it ideal for web use. If you need assistance preparing your images, you can use free tools such as https://www.canva.com, where you can upload your photos, resize them by selecting “Custom Size” (1920 x 1080), and download them as JPG files. 

Photos should be sent in a clear and organised way. You may email them as attachments to property@theopenexperiences.com ; however, please note that the maximum email size we can receive is 36MB per email. If your images exceed this limit, please split them across multiple emails. To help us identify photographs easily, please ensure files are clearly named (e.g. Kitchen, Bedroom 1, Bedroom 2, Living Room) or grouped by room within separate emails.  Alternatively, if you are sending a larger number of images, you may find it easier to use secure file transfer tools such as:

These services allow you to upload and send larger files quickly and easily. Simply upload your images, generate a link, and share it with us via email. This helps ensure we receive your photos in the best possible format while keeping the process simple and efficient.
